Calling Me Back

Just when I think I couldn't love Louise Bay's work any more, so goes and gives us Luke Daniels.

Ashleigh Franklin has been in love with her best friend's brother for what seems like forever. Ash and Haven have always been there for each other from the moment they met. And because of their close relationship, Luke has been there like a brother. However, the more Ash learned of and spent time with Luke, her heart fell hard for him. With every other relationship she had over the years, she always compares them to Luke. And as the years passed, she would love him from afar.

Luke has never looked at Ash as anything other than a sister. He's been in a relationship for the last several years, but Emily has been dropping hints about settling down. Marriage, children, white picket fences, the whole nine yards. All that is good and dandy, but not something Luke can ever see himself doing. So after careful consideration, they part ways.

Now single and wondering what will happen to him and his life, he notices something about Ash that he's never seen before. She's stunning. She's brilliant. She's what he's been needing in his life and she's been right under his nose. He sees things clearly now and he's going after what he desires.

Ash is thrilled that her dream is finally coming true; everything she's ever wanted is in her grasps. But is it really real? Can Luke's feeling be steadfast? Is this all too good to be true?

There is only one way to find out? But will this kill what just started or will absence make the heart grow fonder?

Oh my goodness!!! Louise I love you, but do you really need to leave us with that cliffhanger!

This story begins with a bang... a sweet, sexy, hot bang!

I was already loving Luke, but now that love is out of this world. The things he does to Ash... color me jealous! That man is passionate, naughty, dirty, and downright desirably delicious.

I love Ash's heart. She loves Luke, but she needs to know that she is Luke's choice not because she is there, but because his heart is completely hers. I love that she can make a hard decision and stick to her guns. She strong even though at times she may not feel like it. I just want to hug her and then drag her out for a drinks and laughs.

I can't wait to see how this story will evolve. They both know what they want, they just have to find a way to make it happen.

Louise has another hit on her hands with the feisty Ashleigh and alluring Luke.

Calling Me Away

Holy Cow!!! Louise, you amaze me!!

This time I ached, like physically my heart hurt, for Ashleigh's struggles. She wants Luke, desperately, but she stays true to plan. Gotta love a girl with conviction.

Luke, for his part, is trying to do what Ashleigh asked of him. To live his life, find out what he likes and what he wants. A moment to grow into himself as a single man after so many years in a relationship. And he does. He finds a habit that interests him and makes a new friend in the process. Even goes on a date with a new girl.

So has he moved on from Ashleigh or is his heart true? Is there a way to finally be together? Or, say it isn't so, has Ashleigh moved on?

Wow! Wow! Wow!

I almost began to question Ashleigh and Louise. It was killing me to see Luke move on and Ashleigh suffer. And I since I knew there would a cliffhanger, I was scared of how things would end up. But wow!! I really loved Luke's declaration. Total swoon moment.

So now what? How can they begin anew? And at a slow pace?

I think this is quickly becoming my favorite couple. They've been through a lot in the past few months that have completely changed their life. Where will this take them? How will it change them? I can't wait to find out.

Calling Me Home

Just when you think you can't fall more in love with Luke, he goes and proves that he's more loveable than imaginable.

Ashleigh is still slightly unsure about Luke's feelings, but being without him is not something that she's willing do it. So she asks Luke to take things slow, to date, to get to know each other, share things that they haven't in all the years they've known each other.

Luke agrees because he wants Ashleigh not just right now, but for the long haul. He also vows to show her his love is true, through and through. His eyes have been opened and there is no going back, just forward.

And as their relationship deepens, fate throws a curveball into Ashleigh's lap. This, she feels, will end her relationship with Luke. Will it? Or will Luke surprise her by accepting this with open arms?

This was an sensually delightful conclusion to a love story will take your breath away. Louise always delivers a story that captures a reader's heart and soul and this series showcases that ability. Luke is your brother. Ashleigh is your best friend. Their anguish is your anguish. They laugh, you laugh. They cry, you cry. Their happiness is your happiness.

A friends to lovers story can been difficult to properly tell, but Louise's characters are stunningly brilliant, charming, and down to Earth. Because of Luke and Ashleigh, and Louise's spectacular words, I would highly recommend this to every romance loving reader.
