Allie Parker is living the life she wants, not the life that was handed to her. She enjoys the simple things; money can't buy happiness. Even if life is good, she is missing that special someone to share it with.
When Allie first sees Micah, he stole her breath away with his alluring eyes and sinfulness he projects. But being with Micah could mean outing her secret, and she's not sure if that is something she wants.
Micah can't explain what he's mistified by Allie, but he's got to have her. She is slowly breaking down his walls, but what will happen if she ever happens to find out the truth about his hidden beast.
The more secrets that are revealed, the harder they try to fight their growing feelings. But one thing becomes indisputable, they belong together if they can only get past the past.
This was my first book by Stacey, but it won't be my last. I loved the writing, the banter between Micah and Allie, the deep friendship Allie has with Liv and Taylor, and the bond between Micah and his DC brothers.
And all the sexiness doesn't hurt either. Micah and Allie know how to heat things up in more ways than one. I'm all flushed just thinking about it. I had to stop a few times during the book just to cool down myself and my ereader.
And if I hadn't already wanted to read the next book in series, that ending was jaw-dropping.
